Ted Oxley, New Zealand "lightweight champion, gained a points decision at Napiei- to-night against Joe Franklin after a egruelling contest. In the final round, Oxley was groggy from a whirlwind attack by Franklin, who used his right in successive vicious swings. Oxley managed to hang on owing to Franklin being utterly exhausted. In a heavy slogging bout, Luttrell gained a points decision over Sullivan, the bout being characterised by both men making the pace and each taking severe punishment. The decision astonished the house, which almost unanimously voiced strong disapproval. RUGBY FOOTBALL. LONDON, December 19. Rugby: Dublin .University beat Cambridge University by 12 to 10.
