MOTORING MISHAPS
LORRY DRIVER KILLED.

' GISBORNE, November 12.
As the result of a lorry going over a bank near Matawai early this morning, a man named Victor King was killed.
A function had been held in the township, and the lorry, with four occupants, left for home. A few miles from Matawai, the lights fused, and the lorry went over the bank. King was thrown out and killed instantly. The others were not hurt.

PARIS, November 10.
A heavily laden lorry, descending a steep slope at Rohrbach, crashed into a motor car conveying men to work on the frontier fortifications. Nine were killed and eighteen seriously injured.
CRASH OUTSIDE PALACE.
LONDON, November 10
Frank Henry Hills, the driver of the motor car involved in the Buckingham Palace crash on October 7, was arrested when leaving the hospital, and charged with the manslaughter of four men. He was remanded.
