U.S.A. LAUNCH STARTS FIRE

BAYONNE (New Jersey), Oct. 14. Two men were critically injured and
are expected to die, ■while five were reported missing on Friday night, in a tire that started with an explosion in
a gasoline launch, which ignited two piers and four lighters at. the Standard Oil Company Lowerhook Plant, and barley missed igniting three tankers and freighters.
NDIAN FIREWORKS DISASTERS
CALCUTTA, October 14
There were 20 killed and many injured in explosions wrecking two houses, one in Madras, and the other in Vizagapatam. Both occurred during the manufacture of fireworks, which is :t big trade in India. . It is believed there are other bodies in the debris.
