WEATHER FORECAST. General inference: A shallow depression crossed the Dominion; and passed rapidly eastwards yesterday. It was followed by an intense anticyclone, the centre of which is now over the South Island. Conditions are still disturbed in Northern New South Wales. Forecast: Light variable winds with easterlies ruling, weather fine with cold night temperatures. Seas smooth.
