ST. JOHN’S CLUB TOURNEY. The St. John’s Badminton Club closed their season on Saturday evening, with a. combined handicap tournament. All games were limited to 15 aces. Hutchinson, who will leave shortly for Karamea, were farewelled by the members of St. John’s Tennis and Badminton Clubs. Rev. IT. R. Fell spoke of the excellent work the departing members had done. He said they would be greatly missed, both by club members and by their many other friends. Ho made a. small presentation to Mr Hutchinson, from the Tennis and Badminton Clubs’ members.

Mr Hutchinson, in. reply, thanked Mr Fell for his kind remarks, and the members for their gift, and wished the clubs every success.

At the close of the tournament, the club captain, Mr V. D. Stevens, presented the trophies (inscribed shuttles) to the winning pair. Miss N. Tennent and Mr H. Hutchinson.
