JAPANESE BUDGET
ALL REVENUE FOR FORCES.

KOBE, September 4.
Including new expenditures, Government departments are demanding three billion yen for the next budget, against a total estimated revenue not exceeding thirteen hundred million yen. The Army and Navy alone are demanding the whole revenue. Approximately one-third of the estimates is represented by new expenditure. The Finance Department emphasises the urgent necessity for a national financial policy.
RUSSIANS IMPRISONED.
TOKIO, September 4.
Official advices state that Russians who were found guilty in connection with the Kamchatka, killings reported on July 4, have been sentenced to terms of imprisonment ranging from five to eight years. A Soviet indemnity of £60,000 has been paid to the bereaved families.
CAPTIVE BRITONS.
TOKIO, September 4.
The Japanese authorities are hopeful of securing the release within a few days of the three British officers who ihave been prisoners since the Nanchang piracy.
