MUSIC EXAMINATIONS

TRINITY COLLEGE PRACTICAL GREYMOUTH SUCCESSES On August 11, 13, and 14, Air. Ronald Chamberlain, representative of Trinity College of Music, London, conducted the practical examination in Greymouth. The programme consisted of the following numbers: —Schumann’s “Carnival Jest”; Chopin’s “Nocturne in E Major”; Chopin’s Etude in E Minor; Romances Nos. 1 and 2 composed by Mr. Chamberlain; Bach's Prelude and Fugue No. 15; Scriabin’s Studies Nos. 1,2 and 3; Beethoven’s Sonata in Eb Op. 31, No. 2 (Scherzo movement) ; The Scherzo, Adagio and Finale of Chopin’s Sonata in B minor.

All were excellently played and thoroughly enjoyed by those present.
