RUNANGA NOTES

[our: own correspondent.] Mrs. T. Storie, who has been an inmate of the Grey River Hospital for some time, returned home on Saturday. Mi-, and Airs. Lithgow of Christchurch will return by to-morrow’s express, after spending a holiday at Runanga and Greymouth. Mrs I. Dale leaves to-morrow, on a visit’ to Dunedin.

The Caledonian Society’s fortnightly Ingleside was held in the gymnasium on Saturday night, there being a fair attendance of members. Music for dancing was supplied by Messrs F. Fletcher and Cullen (3). The monthly meeting of tho Girls' Club, held at the residence of Airs. Syme, was well attended and a new member was welcomed. The various competitions were won by Misses H. Powell, M. Clark, F. Armstrong, N. Storie and Airs. R. Armstrong. The hostesses were Alisses N. Syme and J. Fraser. Alessrs J. Masters. G. Newton, A. Williams. P. Hart, W. Glyn. members of the League Football louring teamaccompanied by Mr. L. Hunter (manager) left this morning for the North Island.
