REEFTON, August 10. Mr. J. Patterson who is an inmate of the Inangahua Hospital, is no showing any improvement in condition and to-day Dr. Moore, Gaymouth, was called into consultat on. At the weekly meeting ot the Inangahua Rugby Sub-Union, Mr. F. W. Archer presided. Mr. D. Weight was welcomed as delegate foi the Blacks P °Fixti?res for Sunday are as follow:— Juniors v. Combined Juniors, referee, M. Badley. Cobden and United v. In : angahua, referee, Mr Sparks. It was resolved that the challenge from the Reefton District High School and Convent be sent to the Buller Union; also that the application of T. Sullivan and N. Kieley for re-instatement, be also sent forward with favourable consideration. Messrs. F. W. Archer and J. Crossman were appointed delegates to the Conference with the League code, and Messrs. A. Palmer and N. Collins as gate-keepers for the 13th inst. It was carried that a conference be airanged between Rugby and League codes in an endeavour to amicably settle the ground dispute. The Reefton District High School Committee met last evening; present. Mr. W. B. Auld (Chairman), Messrs. D. Panckhurst, C. Dobson, C. Potter, J. Hawthorne, W. J. Duff, J. Patterson, H. Campbell (secretary), Pratt (Headmaster). Apologies for absence were received from Mr. C. Cleaver, and Mr. I. Hawthorne. Headmaster’s Report—Secondary Department: Roll No. Boys 28, girls 18; average attendance boys 27.1, girls 15.7. Primary Department.—Roll No. Boys 86, girls 77; withdrawals boys 2, girls 3; boys 1, girls 6; average attendance boys 79.5, girls 71.8. The Chairman reported that the Chairman, the secretary and architect of the Nelson Board, visited the School to-day, and were met by members of the Committee and the plan for the new school was submitted and the site arranged.—The action of the Sub-Committee was approved.

It was proposed by Mr. Panckhurst, seconded by Mr. Dobson, and carried, that the forming of an Old. Pupils’ Association be approved.
