HOCKEY. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, July 1. University 3,. Training College 1, Somerville 2. St. Luke’s nil; Papatoatoe 5, North Shore -I. BADMINTON CLUB. A general meeting of the newlyformed St. John’s Badminton Club was held on Saturday, Mr. V. D. Stevens presiding. The club’s rules were adopted after discussion, subject to some amendments. The election of officers resulted: — Patron: Mr. D. Tennent; President: Rev. H. R. Fell; Vice-President: Dr. Bennett; Club Captain: Mr. V. D. Stevens; Secretary: Mr. H. Hutchinson; Treasurer: Mr. L. F. Anderson; Committee: Mrs. O. McLean. Miss C. Tennent, Dr. Fraser, Mr. G. Beyiion: Auditor: Miss C. Brown. The President then officially opened the club, and wished members a successful season. He congratulated Mr Stevens on the work he had put into the formation of the club.
