TIMBER WORKERS’ UNION.

[to the editor.] . . . Sil—l read' a paragraph in tins evening's “Star” about the timbm workers at the South Beach nnH raking a vote to-day (which means str ke or no strike). 1 understand that the town mill voted yesterday, and jent every man against a strike. Methinks that the South Beach mill men have gone the same way, as they gave then word they had no intention of striking when Mr Turley and Co. wanted them out a fortnight ago. As Mr Turley and Co. don’t believe what the Star says, I want them to believe these few lines, as they come from a union member who knows how to vote when it’s wanted. Please reply in the “Star,” because we will be able to believe what you say, but don t say it too strong.—l am, etc., A “STAR READER.
