£7OO DAMAGES AWARDED. LONDON, February 16. Damages of £7OO were awarded by Mr Justice du Parcq in the King’s Bench division yesterday to Mrs Phoebe De’ath, Gorse Cottage, Churtroad, Hindhead, against Debenham and J'reetjddy Ltd., the West-end

drapers. Mrs De’ath was looking into defendants’ store when a pane of glass fell from a first-floor window. Although the glass dropped all round her, she was not injured, hul suffered shock, and had been, under the care of doctors ever since. His lordship said that the accident was a most curious one, the result of which was that Mrs De’ath had been turned into a nervous wreck.
