BILLIARDS. LONDON, March 11. In the billiards match, the result was a win for Davis, who scored 24,758. Lindrum scored 24,007, including a break of SSI. The papers emphasise that though Lindrum has been beaten in every game, his superiority is unquestionable. The baulk line handicap has alone prevented him overcoming the huge starts given. Newman and McConachy begin the deciding match for the gold cup on March 13.
