OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT “Tarzan, the Ape Man,” a remarkable feature, featuring Johnny Weismuller, and foremost supporting cast, will be screened to-night. The next chapter of the new serial “Detective Lloyd” will also be shown. “My Sin” heads the programme to be screened on Sunday night. Proceeds in aid of the Mayor’s Unemployment Fund. BLACKBALL—TO-NIGHT ‘'Over the Hill” will be screened to-night, and “Tarzan, the Ape Man” on Sunday. RUNANGA—TO-NIGHT “Business and Pleasure” will be screened tonight. WALLSEND—SUNDAY “The Sea God” heads the programme to be screened on Sunday. SCHAEF’S HALL TO-NIGHT. The usual Saturday night old time dance in Schaef’s Hall will be conducted this evening by the Greymouth Soccer Club. Patrons will be well catered for in all departments. An attendant will be in charge of the cloak room, Mr Petrie will have charge of the floor, and the Gaiety Orchestra will supply first-class music. GRAND VAUDEVILLE. The T.Y.M.I. Entertainers will present their non-stop variety programme at the Trinity Hall, Friday next. Heading the vaudeville portion of the programme are “Roberta” mechanical woman. Ganzi, telepathist; Franek Bros, champion marksmen Baron Munchausen, adventurer; and Grattan, one wheel cyclist. Foremost assisting artists are Mrs J. Wright, Miss M. Burgoyne, “Baby” Austin, Messrs W. McGrath, A. Nicholson, S. Strong, T. Savage and Wilde and Coll. T.Y.M.I. full orchestra. Proceeds devoted to church funds.

DANCE REVUE. Next Tuesday in the Town Hall, Miss Dorothy Thwaites assisted by 50 artists will present a spectacular potpourri consisting of an exposition of all forms of fancy dancing, ballets, and choruses. The costuming has been specially designed by Miss Thwaites, and special scenery, 'and brilliant lighting effects will enhance a superb programme. Massed scenes will include the opening chorus “Sunny Smiles of Hawaii” with a ballet of Hawaiian dancers, singers, and guitars; the original Revuette, The Micky Mouse Band with a retinue of Micky mice in mousey antics; the descriptive scena, “In Kensington Gardens” in which there will be a ballet of nymphs; the Dutch villagers, typical of Holland, with its ballet of Dutch girls, the soloist, being Miss Cecilia Keating; a Classical Ballet. “Bubbles”; chorus with ballet, “Mary Brown”; and a grand finale “Goodnight Vienna” by Miss Dorothy Thwaites and the entire company. In addition vocal numbers, including “On the Beach” by Mi- George Brown assisted by Misses M. Hannan, C. Costello, and chorus, “How do you do, Miss Foxtrot” by Miss Joyce Fowler, and the Tap chorus “Let’s be Sentimental” are not the least attractive. The music- will be in the capable hands of Restieaux’s orchestra. The Box Flan is open at the Bristol where reserves may be made.
