FARMERS’ UNION

AUCKLAND’S BREAK-AWAY.

[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, October 27

A committee that was appointed by the Dominion Executive of the Farmers’ Union to consider the differences that have continually been arising with the Auckland Provincial Branch of the Union, presented a report to the Executive to-day.

The committee said that the discussions had been conducted in a friendly manner, but that it had been found impossible to come to an understanding. The committee, therefore, with very great regret, recommended the acceptance of Mr Ross’s suggestion that the Auckland Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union be allowed to form a separate organisation, for whose policy the New Zealand Farmers’ Union would be in no way responsible.
