THE LONDON CONFERENCE.
[BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, October 14. Negotiations between the British and Irish Free State Governments opened at the offices of the Cabinet Secretariat. The British Government was represented by Mr Thomas and other Ministers. The Free State’s principal delegate is Mr De Valera. Discussions lasted throughout to-day and will be resumed to-morrow morning. BELFAST RIOTS. RUGBY, October 14. Disturbances at public houses at Belfast yesterday evening were quickly dealt with by the police. No repetition of rioting has since occurred, the night passed quietly, and conditions were normal to-day.
