ROUGH TASMAN TRIP
WHEAT SHIP IN GALES [pee press association.]
AUCKLAND, August 15
Fully loaded with wheat, the Union Coy’s steamer Kairanga, had an ex-
ceedingly rough voyage from Geelong, and reached port, this afternoon, nearly a week late. The Captain said that it was the worst trip he' ever had in the Tasman. The ship hove i.o for 24 hours on August .8 and 9, with her head into the gale, and when she got going again, progress was deadly slow, as every day brought another gale.
