REEFTON, August 15.

Two basketball teams from Ikamatua travelled to Reefton on Saturday and played a series of matches against Reefton teams. On arrival at Reefton, the teams were entertained at morning tea at the school by the local girls and tWo matches were played. Ikamatua Old Girls faced Reefton District High School arid the latter team won by nine points to seven. Ikamatua primary team played Reefton primary, and the local team again proved victorious, the .score being 10-—l. In the afternoon, Reefton Old Girls were fnatched against the visitors and after a keen game Reefton scored a third win, notching three more points than the visitors, scoring being 12—9. An effort is being made in Reefton to form a small riiusical society, arid with this end in view a public meeting is to be shortly called to further the project. The Secretary of the Reefton Prospecting Association has communicated with the Minister of Mines, urging that Reefton bo included in the forilicoming visit to the West Coast.
