The Association says in its appeal that it would always support the lawfully constituted Government, but that it is opposed to Communism. It says it regards as extremely dangerous the new fashion of branding as traitors certain public men, and will resist all attempts at interfering with free speech, and will stand by any comrades marked down for persecution and attack. The Association says it regrets the present Executive’s tolerance of the presence of arms in tlio country in defiance of the law.
