REEFTON NOTES
[OUB OWN CORRESPONDENT.] REEFTON, July 29. The Reefton Old Girls’ Basket Ball Club played a match against the Reefton High School and after a good game which Miss Hutton refereed, the Old Girls’ team proved the winner.
At the ordinary weekly meeting of the Inangahua Rugby Union it was resolved that the secretary write the Lake Brunner Sub-division giving an approximate amount of gate takings and offering 50 per cent, of same, and stating that any date was available from August 21. It was resolved that the West Coast Rugby Union be written to, drawing attention- to Rule 2 of Dittman Shield Competition and ask on what authority the rule was altered, and failing a reply write to the N.Z. Rugby Union. It was decided to formulate an insurance scheme for players. Messrs. N. Colliss and A. Griffin were appointed trustees for a Post Office Savings Bank Account for same. The Waratah Club were named as winners of the Stallard Cup, with Kiwis as runner up. Fixtures for July 31 will be: McGillicudy Cup, Second Round. Senior: Excelsior v. Waiuta at Reefton 2.30 p.m.; Waratah v. Ikamatua at Ikamatua 2.30 p.m. Junior: Blackspoint v. Waratah at Reefton 1.30 p.m.; Kiwi v. Ikamatua at Reefton 2 p.m.
