MOTOR-CYCLE CLUB. The annual meeting, of the Greymouth Pioneel’ Motor. Cycle Club was held last evening, Air W. R. Hall presiding over a good attendance of members. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted:—President, Air W. R. Hall; secretary-treasurer, Mr C. Butterfield; club captain, Mr W. Hall; vice-captain, Air R. Cullen; committee: Messrs Simpson, Cullen, Davy, Hall and Butterfield.
The annual membership fee was fixed at 5/-. It was decided to hold a reliability trial on Sunday, August 7, over the following route;—Suburban Hotel to Paroa, then to Marsden, via No Name, and Alitchells, to the Orangipuki ford, apd back through Kotuku and Stillwater, the run to finish at the Greymouth Railway Station. BASKETBALL. At the Technical School grounds, yesterday afternoon, in a basketball match, Technical School juniors defeated Main School Old Girls by 6 goals to 3. Aliss M. Ray was referee. TENNIS. LONDON, July 27. The Anglo-Australian tennis match at Scarborough, will be played on Davis Cup lines, four singles and one doubles match. The following is the •draw. - :—
Thursday:—Perry v. Hopman, Lee v. Crawford.
Friday: Perry and Oliff v. Hopman and Crawford.
Saturday: Lee v. Hopman. Perry v. Crawford.
