ENTERTAINS KING AND QUEEN. LONDON, March 1. The proudest boy in London to-night was tlio 17-year-old Welsh alto, Iwan Davies, winner of 52 cups and a soloist at All Souls’, Langham Place. Davies entertained the King and Queen for an hour at Buckingham Palace, singing several songs, including, at the Queen’s request, her favourite hymn, “Jesus, Lover of My Soul,” and the Welsh Anthem, “Land of My Fathers.” Ho said, “Their Majesties were delightful. They chatted with me between the songs. The King said he thought I would develop into a tenor, and he hoped I would be a great singer. He presented me with a silver pencil engraved with the Royal Arms and monogram.”
