VICTORIA PARK RESULTS The first evening cycle race meeting of the 1931-32 season wafe held at Victoria Park last evening a small attendance being treated to some interesting racing. Close handicapping made for exciting finishes in all the senior races The results were: —■ Half-Mile, Senior—Hogarth 80 yds, 1; Duffy, 50 yds., 2; Taylor 75 yds, 3. Also competed: Turtill scr., Thomas 35, Thompson 45, Clark 60, Mcllroy 75, Time 1 min, 6.3-10 secs. A close finish. Hogarth made good use of his handicap, and was never headed riding well to gain the verdict by a length. Half a length separated second and third, Boys’ Half-Mile—Hogarth 20 yds., 1; Dunham scr., 2; Stewart scr., 3. The only starters. Time: 1 min. 28 2-5 secs. Hogarth was never caught by the other two riders, and won as he liked. One-Mile Senior—A. Thompson 80 yds. 1; Watson 110 yds. 2; Duffy 90 yds, 3. Also competed: Turtill scr., Thomas 60, Clark 110, Mcllroy 140, Taylor 140, Hogarth 160. Time 2.0 3-5 secs. Thompson raced well throughout and gain'ed the verdict by a length.
