Every Friday, afternoon at half-past five Mr. J.' Holloway .goes to foe 3<Jor of his business with a bag of pennies. He gives, two to every child who is waiting there. And he is disappointed because he cannot get more to cpme along.. , .., . ..

But when I'was a kid nobody gave me money. “You’d be surprised, though, how few turn up on a Friday. I’ve been doing it regularly now for over four years and we hardly ever get more than 40.

“I don’t think we have evey given away more than 10/-, though we always have plenty of money ready. I’d llko to. see a couple of hundred. I don’t mind how many they bring.
