OFFICIAL CLOSING DAY. Excellent weather conditions prevailed for the official closing day of the Greymouth Golf Club, held over the Omoto Links on Saturday, and there was a good attendance of members. , . .. Competitions played during the afternoon resulted: —Mixed foursome, p. Warnes and Miss J. Hambleton; ladies’ approaching, Mrs- McCarthy; men’s approaching, A. K. Smith, and men’s putting, W. Meldrum. The prizes won during the season now concluded were presented by the club’s president, Mr W- Meldrum. After the prizes had been awarded, Mrs A Smith, captain of the Greymouth Ladies’ Golf Club, extended Mrs P Kane, a member, who will shortly leave for Reefton. where she will reside, the. best wishes of the club.
