ULSTER MILK-WAR
FARMERS v. RETAILERS [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, November 5. A strange milk war is going on in Ulster between, the farmers and the retailers over the winter prices. The farmers’ pickets are active, and are continually holding up milk vans and throwing the milk onto the roadways. The retailers’ pickets are threatening to fire the farmers’ buildings and stacks, unless the farmers give up selling milk. The shortage of milk is now acute in Belfast. Police with rifles are necessary to escort any milk that is now being introduced into the city. The police are 'arresting the pickets caught destroying milk.
