The Commonwealth Government lias decided to place broadcasting in Australia under the control of a National Board, with wide powers, similar to • the Board in Great Britain, where radio is controlled by the British Broadcasting. Corporation. This decision was reached to-day. The existing contract with the Australian Broadcasting Company will not be renewed after June next, when it lapses.
