SYDNEY BUSES
A GENERAL STOPPAGE. [BY CABLE—PBESB ASSN.—COPYBIGHT.] SYDNEY, October 31. Four hundred and forty motor buses which have been competing with the trams and the trains in theSydney Metropolitan area, will cease running at midnight to-night, in consequence of the recent legislation under which a heavy passenger toll was imposed on the omnibuses competing with thq Government transportation systems; but those buses acting • as feeders will escape the levy. At least two thousand five hundred employees will be rendered idle. Public indignation is at,fire heat.' . <
