A. Meldrum equalled the record of 12secs for the 100 yards, under 14, and R. E. Naumann established a new record of 603 secs. for the 440 yards under 15, beating the existing record by 4-ssecs. He equalled the record of 23 4-ssecs for the 220 yards Cup race. Naumann won the Senior Cup. CRICKET. Cobden to play United, at Karoro Domain, on Saturday at 1.30 p.m.— Mclntosh, Knapp, Sandman, Barlow, Guy, Adams, Rose, Edwards, Mcßain, Watson, Rimmer. CYCLING ROAD RACE. Their first road race for the season was held by the United Cycling Club last evening, over a twelve-mile course, from the Australasian Hotel to Paroa and return, twice. Ten riders competed, and the race was won by A. Thomson, off the 120 secs mark. D. Clark, 105 secs, was second. Third place and fastest time was gained by IT. W. Wilson, off the 15st-c mark, who covered the twelve miles in 35 mins, 55 secs.
