Mr. W. Keller, Hokitika, left this morning on a visit to Wellington.

Mr. P. Peters, who has been visiting Greymouth, returned to-day to Christchurch.

Mrs T. Lee (Leonard Street), left this morning en route to Sydney, on an extended holiday.

Mr. D. Reese, a member of the Railways Board, who has been visiting Greymouth, returned to Christchurch to-day.

Sister M. Congreve of the staff of the Cashmere Sanatorium, who has been visiting friends in Greymouth, returned to Christchurch to-day.

The Most Reverend C. L. Worrell of Halifax, Archbishop of Nova Scotia since 1915, has been elected Primate of all Canada, by the House of Bishops of the General Synod of the Church of England in Canada, succeeding the Most Reverend S. P. P. Matheson of Winnipeg, who retired last year.

The marriage was solemnised yesterday at Christchurch, of Mary Lucy Aroha (the aviatrix) youngest daughter of Mr Walter Clifford and the late Mrs Clifford, and Alf Christoffer, son of Mr and Mrs Askar Brustad, Hamar, Norway. The Rev. Father J. Cullen officiated.

The death took place at Wellington this morning, after an illness lasting several months of Mr Thomas H. Harley, aged about 85 years. Had the deceased lived until Sunday next he would have been able to celebrate the 56th anniversary of his wedding. The late Mr Harley is survived by a widow, and a family of twelve, including Mr W. F. Harley, of Greymouth, who left for Wellington this morning.
