NOVEL DIVORCE AWARD
MILK OF COW AS ALIMONY,
SYDNEY, August 14.
An unusual order was made by the Registrar in Divorce yesterday in an application by a respondent for alimony pendente lite. Cecil Herbert Roots, a council Om- , ployee of Penrith, has filed a petition for dissolution of his marriage with Ivy May Roots, on the ground of alleged misconduct with Herbert Roots, who is joined as co-respondent. By consent an order was made for alimony at £2 10/- a week, with the use of petitioner’s cottage free of rent and the milk of one cow., The cow intervened ih the divorce proceedings because respondent has a number of young children who require lacteal nourishment.
