An agreement to stabilise freights for the carriage of Australian produce overseas, at present levels for a further period of twelve months from June 30 next, was reached by the conference of the Australian Council of the Australian Overseas Transport Association. QUEENSLAND PARLIAMENT BRISBANE, June 6. When the Government party'meets on the return of Premier Moore from Melbourne, it is understood that he is to be asked to consider extending the life of the present State Parliament from three to five years. The annual conference of the Country and Progressive National Party, has already urged the idea, and the Premier expressed himself, definitely in favour of it. He declared that if it were considered desirable to extend the period, he would have it done without a referendum.
