AUSTRALIA’S PAPER FLEET. [BY CABLE—PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, May 11. The “Morning Post’s” naval correspondent, commenting on the serious reductions in the Australian Navy, points out that'the Australian Fleet, which is a considerable one on paper, is reckoned as part of the Royal Navy at the recurring disarmament conferences, so that a falling out of commission of many units, the latest being the aircraft carrier “Albatross” is a matter which deserves attention. The correspondent adds: “New Zealand is generously training reserve officers in addition to its valuable contribution in cruisers.”
