Richards and Tilden meet on Saturday at Madison Square in the first of a series of five matches which are expected to bring them each around about 35,000 dollars. Richards is guaranteed 25,000 dollars, while Tilden is taking a percentage of the gate as <-,a co-promoter. An additional 10,000 dollars is promised the winner. Tilden has been playing on an average one match every other day since the middle of February* when he started a nationwide tour. Richards has had no competition since he won the professional title from Kozeluh last fall. He has been making up by taking on amateur stars in practice. Tilden and Richards last met in 1926, Richards defeating Tilden in three out of five matches. TILDEN DEFLuri RICHARDS. NEW YORK, May 9. Egypt eliminated Finland by 4 to 1, and meets Japan next. BELGRADE, May 10. ; Japan eliminated Jugo-Slavia 3 to 0.
