SEX EDUCATION BAN
A VATICAN DECREE. VATICAN CITY, March 21. A solemn Decree protesting against “so-called sexual education of youth” has been issued by the Supreme Congregation of the Holy Office. The message draws attention to the methods of the Church in conveying such knowledge to youth. The Decree declares harmful all “eugenic theories tending to improve the human race,” as, it states, such improvement is amply provided for by Divine, ecclesiastical, and human laws regarding marriage, and the rights of the individual in this respect. The tone of the Decree follows that of the two recent declarations by the Pope, the Encyclical on Christian Education and the Encyclical on Christian Marriage.
