TOKIO, May 8. The disastrous fire started 'at Yamanaka at 2.30 p.m. and it spread rapidly until the evening, destroying no fewer than eight hundred dwellings, hotels, public buildings, and the Post Office in ah area of forty-two acres. The known dead are few, but over one hundred persons were severely injured. •
