STEER ATTACKS CYCLIST. GISBORNE, May 8

Attacked by a wild steer, whilst riding second in the Athletic Club’s road race, Eric Foster was injured about the neck and head. The animal forced him to the side of th© road, where it rushed and buffeted him. He escaped through the fence, the animal molesting him as he went.
