[BY CABLE —-PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] WHEAT AND BUTTER. SYDNEY, .May 2. Brokers’ efforts to buy New South Wales silo wheat to fulfil overseas local contracts resulted in ' a sharp advance in prices, which during the week rose from 2/4 to 2/8J a bushel. The Australian export record in butter of two and a-half million boxes in 1924-25, is likely to be exceeded this year. Only a hundred and sixty thousand boxes are now required to reach a record total, and shipments from the Commonwealth are still proceeding.
