August, it is estimated that, 100,000 cotton operatives in Bombay will be unemployed as the result of the Congress organised boycott on foreign cloth. Meanwhile, the Congress Boycott Committee offer amazing terms for the removal of the names of European firms from the Congress black list. These firms must become 75 per cent Indian in capital, two-thirds of the directorate Indian. The firms must entirely abstain from Government anti-Congress activities and must bank and insure with Indian firms.
