FRONTIER TRIBESMEN.

DELHI, August 7
For the second time in two months Peshawar’ is menaced by hostile tribesmen. All the British and Indian troops in the district have been mobilised. Afridis estimated to number five thousand have been observed proceeding through passes in the direction of the Khajuii plain. Six squadrons of aeroplanes have been despatched to bomb the raiders. Th? machines, flying low. also machinegunned the tribesmen wivh deadly effect, and drove them to the shelter of rocks and caves.
The opinion, is expressed that it will he necessary to send an expedition across the border into the tribai .territory in the autumn, wheii, there is better weather, in order to deal finally with the malcontents.
