DAIRY ASSOCIATION

RECONSTRUCTION APPROVED. [per press association.] PALMERSTON N., July 23. An extraordinary meeting held, this morning of representatives of dairy companies interested in the National Dairy Association took the formal action necessary for liquidation of the Association and its reconstruction as a limited company. . The Chairman (Mr Norton) said the object, of. the meeting .was. to confirm the resolution passed at Hamilton, to the effect it was expedient for the share capital of the Association to be taken oyer, by ..a new company, to be .known as the National Dairy Associa-. tion of New. .Zealand Ltd., that the existing Association be wound up voluntarily, and that the assets be transferred to the new company, in the form of share capital. A resolution was passed confirming the motion passed at Hamilton. The committee appointed at Hamilton, recommended that a sub-commit-tee of the executive be appointed to conduct activities other than commercial trading, .that a part time secretary be appointed. This was agreed to, it being explained that the object of the resolution was for the com.mittee to devote activities to a particular class of work, principally the remits carried, at. the. annual conference, and of its own initiative to take action on matters affecting the industry as a whole..
