PRESS CONFERENCE. LONDON. June 15. The Press Conference delegates spent the week-end at country houses, and the party, including Mr Blundell, Mrs Blundell, Mr Kerr and Mrs Kerr (New' Zealand) lunched with the Lord Mayor of Nottingham. They saw the Test Match play, drove through the remains of Sherwood Forest, and stayed at Welbeck Abbey as guests of the Duke and Duchess of Portland.
LOAD LINE.
LONDON. June 16. Delegates from forty countries are attending the Load Line Conference. They are sitting in camera, but it is understood they are considering the proposal that the winter loadline should be on the thirty-fifth parallel at Albany. If this line is adopted, it will place Tasmania and the whole of New Zealand, south of Whangarei Harbour in the Winter Zone. U.S.A. TARIFF BILL WASHINGTON, June 15. President Hoover has announced that he will sign the Tariff Bill.
