ASCOT FASHIONS
VICTORIAN STYLES RETURN.
[BY CABLE —PEESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.]
(Received June 17, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 16. Fashions on an entertaining prewar s'cale are definitely distinguishing Ascot Week. Victorian styles in organdi are again right in the foreground of fashion, also Edwardian gowns in plain printed summer fabrics. The majority of the frocks are ankle length, others touching the ground all round. Nothing shorter than twelve inches below the knees is the inexorable rule. Hats are very large, in lace, straw, tulle, net, and chiffon.
