Correspondence was received from tile Registrar advising that when the Maternity Allowance was being claimed, the certificate must be signed either by the Medical Officer or a duly registered midwife or nurse. The secretary of the Auckland district, advised that an appeal had been made to their Courts for subscriptions to a district fund to assist sufferers by the late terrible earthquake, and asking if there were any cases of suffering by members of the district, and to whom it would be desirable to render assistance, that they be informed of such, and failing direct help to members, their contributions be handed to the National Fund.—lt was decided to thank the Auckland district for their kind action, and to inform them that as far as known there were none requiring assistance. The secretary of the Subsidiary High Court, wrote issuing a cordial invitation to the District to join in the movement to form a central body for the Order in N.Z. The secretary stated that at present there was a Dominion Council in New Zealand. Court Robin blood submitted a new rule dealing with the surplus declared at the 1925 Valuation. —Moved by Bro. Perkins, seconded by Bro. Crispin, that this District meeting approve of the new" rule.—Carried. Levies for the present year are to be fixed by the District officers. Bro.

J. W. Riley of Court Aorere (Collingwood) was elected D.C.R., and Bro. H. Millar of Court Robin Hood, D.C.R. It was carried that fraternal greetings and kind regards of this meeting be conveyed to district trustee, Bro. W. T. Bond, P.D.C.R., and wishing him continued good health.
