REEFTON NOTES
(Our Own Oorreßnondent). • REEFTON, December 11. The annual meeting of shareholders of Monteith’s Phoenix Brewery Ltd., was held on Monday evening last, there being only five shareholders present, although a large number of shares were represented. It was decided to endorse the directors’ recommendation to pay a dividend of 10 per cent for the past half year, and the meeting adjourned. The Reefton section of the Girl Guides held their final'rally for the year last evening. During the evening Mesdames Campbell arid JV. J. Duffl visited the troop and addressed a few words to the girls present. After the exercises, games were indulged in and a camp fire supper was nicely served before the parade dispersed. Mr C. Mangos of Lyell, was a’visitor to Reefton yesterday. Weather conditions at Reefton improved .yesterday. There was very little, rain, and this morning dull but dry conditions prevail. The rainfall for December to date is over four inches.
