RUBBER FROM WEED
EDISON’S LATEST SUCCESS. (By Gable—Press Assn. —Copyright.) NEW YORK, December 4. Mr. T. A. Edison’s secretary has announced that the inventor has successful developed means for the extraction of rubber from the Golden Rod, a common American flowering weed, at a cost of 16 cents, per pound. The process—no details of which are announced —involves a long period of boiling.
