FRENCH.JURIES’ VIEW. (By Cable—Press Assn.—Copyright.) PARIS, November 8. The right to kill has been admitted by two more French juries. ’ Acquittals have been secured in the cases of Lewis Marchland, aged 18 years, who killed his father because of cruelty; and also in the case of Joseph Amar, who shot his sweetsheart because she had brought about his financial ruin. J Marchland’s plea was that his father enraged him to the point of killing because his' daughter was slow with the coffee and he was t consistently cruel. . • j . Amar’s counsel eloquently detailed how the dead woman insisted on changing from town to town, thus involving financial loss, which culminated in a fatal scene when she demanded a fur coat. , AUTHOR ARRESTED. BERLIN, November 8. The German author-drantatist, Peter Martin Lampel, who,wrote the plays entitled “Poison Gas Over Berlin,” and “Revolt in Borstal Institute,” has been arrested and charged with being implicated in a murder committed several years ago, by the Black Reichswehr, of which he is an exmember.
