REEFTON NOTES

(Our Own Correspondent). REEFTON, Nov. 8. Mr. D. Panckhurst, whilst employed on the Electric Light Coy.’s race yesterday, met with a nasty accident. He fell down the hill, a distance of 15 feet and sustained injuries to his head, He was attended to by Dr. Conlon and eight stitches were inserted in the cuts. He was removed to his home and will be laid aside for some time. A large number of Reefton people left for Christchurch yesterday morning. Among the travellers were Mrs. Gore Porter, Miss Lawn (Crushington), Miss Jessie Riley, Mr. Thompson and Messrs W. Rivers and W. B. Auld. Mr. R. Wilson arrived last evening on a business visit.
