REEFTON NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent). Mr. A. F. Waters, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Nelson, was a visitor to Reefton yesterday. The funeral of the late Mrs Corby took place yesterday from the Church of the Sacred Heart. Rev. Father Gin- ’ isty officiating at the church and graveside. Mr W. J. Burley returned from ’ Christchurch on Thursday. Mr E. Hammond, of the Post Office staff who has been granted six months’ leave of absence, left for Oamaru on Thursday. Mr. J. Schweitzer was called to Christchurch on Thursday, owing to the illness of his father. Misses Nellie and Myrtle Wood, of Christchurch, are the guests of Mrs J. King,'Lower Broadway. Mr D. Y. Whitehead, the newly appointed accountant at the Bank of New Zealand has arrived from Ashburton.
