WORTH THE RISK
Rumour has it, that at a recent hotel fire on the West Coast, a boarder risked his life in an endeavour to save something which he considered of great value. Just as the ceiling was about to collapse he dashed inside, and after an anxious couple of minutes appeared outside holding a bottle of ale in each hand. A spectator who witnessed the act, enquired why he had taken such a great risk. The brave one holding up the two bottles of “Westland” Ale, promptly remarked it was well worth while, and he added that he would go much further to procure a bottle of ale brewed by the Westland Breweries. —43.
